Freezing faster increases capacity

Super­Freeze cuts freezing time by 25 per cent. That increases freezing capacity corre­spon­dingly and elimi­nates this as a bottleneck. In addition, defrosting the fish when removing it from the plate freezer is consi­de­rably faster. That helps to enhance product quality even further.

Energy optimi­sation

Initial freezing repre­sents a bottleneck on fishing vessels. Speeding up this process enhances efficiency and cuts operating time, which gives savings through reduced fuel costs.

CO₂ as a refrigerant

The Super­Freeze system is based on CO₂ as the refri­gerant and has been designed for operation at tempe­ra­tures down to ‑50°C, with outputs from 50–300kW. CO₂ has become an increas­ingly popular refri­gerant choice for industrial and marine systems. This is because it is both a natural product and non-toxic. Nor is it otherwise hazardous in moderate concen­tra­tions. Heat recovery from CO₂ is very favourable.

Versatile appli­cation

Super­Freeze is a pump-circu­lated plant, can be connected to plate, tunnel and IQF freezers as well as cold stores, and comes with a very effective hot gas defrosting system. Plants are delivered as compact units, but can also be supplied split into two or more sections. Seawater-cooled or air-cooled with outdoor gas cooler. Delivered for 3x400V, 50Hz as standard, but can also be tailored for other power supplies.

Super­Freeze is delivered complete with control system, compressors, valves, filters, automation and full internal cabling. Simple operation via a touch­screen display, with opport­u­nities for remote control over the internet.
