We have delivered an environment-friendly freezer store to the world’s largest secure seed bank in the Arctic Svalbard islands.
Safe and secure long-term storage of seeds from all parts of the globe is provided in cold and dry rock caverns to preserve the great genetic variation between the world’s food plants.
The Svalbard Global Seed Vault comprises three separate caverns, each measuring 9.5 x 27 metres. Its freezer storage maintains a constant internal temperature of ‑18°C.
